Memory, the only time machine in our time. We all have our memories, pleasant and otherwise. Most pleasing of all are the memories of childhood. I, for one, have had a very fortunate childhood Alhamdulillah, pampered brat that I was and still am. Showered with love and affection by a doting mother, a watchful father, and a (very) critical sister. They form the three pillars that are my Happy Place. Although life has not threatened me enough to warrant a return to this Happy Place for safety, I often find myself returning to it to browse through some events/adventures/misadventures.
Everyday the future looks a little bit darker. But the past, even the grimy parts of it, well, it just keeps on getting brighter all the time.

I remember, I remember, The house where I was born, The little window where the sun Came peeping in at morn; He never came a wink too soon, Nor brought too long a day, But now, I often wish the night Had borne my breath away! - Thomas Wood, "I Remember, I Remember"
